Galaxy, Surface, iPad, Fire, whatever your device of choice, there’s no escaping the rise of the tablet. Within two years the world is projected to contain close to a billion devices. We’ll all be using them – and not just for downloading music and watching our favourite movies. The consumerisation of IT means tablets are fast becoming our favourite shopping, learning and socialising companions. Work is only a small step behind on the curve.
At FMI we work alongside our clients to embrace the tablet’s incredible capabilities, whether on apple, android, or Windows operating systems. We understand that smart devices are game changers. We also appreciate that you want to stay ahead of your competitors. Our versatility means we can look at any challenge with you: from sales to marketing, from CRM to training, from external advertising to internal comms.
For one European-wide electronics client, that means we recently designed a more immersive sales process app. It puts the consumer firmly at the heart of the buying experience. A ‘hidden’ training mode enables the sales force to switch apps during downtime, and so keep abreast of the latest product developments. A sales tracker app keeps the client in constant control of pricing. It also enables them to react swiftly to changing stock needs. Links to social media mean they are always in touch with the team.
For a leading mobile services operator we’ve recently produced a series of integrated marketing campaign apps for their national retail chain. Working across web, smartphones and the tablet, we created a series of fun training challenges to create real time engagement and stimulate two-way communications. Social media provided further activity and real-time tracking enabled the client to see exactly who was talking about what, when and to whom. Rewards for great ideas were disseminated daily to show appreciation and breed greater loyalty.
We’ve also recently designed a compelling advocate programme app for a client who wanted live, on the go, two-way comms between disparate teams and their central office. And we’re using our years of experience to employ tablets in our incentive and loyalty apps, which has created even deeper employee engagement than ever before.
So don’t ask yourself why tablet, why now? As yourself what app, when and how? And we’ll be there to guide you.
